Putting your soft contacts in and taking them out

We’ve drawn up a step-by-step plan for easily putting your soft contacts in as well as taking them out. We will be happy to explain this in the shop, but a little reminder never hurts.

Putting your soft contact lenses in

  1. Wash your hands with disinfectant soap and dry them off thoroughly.
  2. Always start with the right lens so that you don’t put the wrong lens in the wrong eye.
  3. Put the lens on the pad of the index finger of your dominant hand. Make sure the lens is not inside out.
  4. Using your middle finger of this same hand, pull your lower eyelid down. Using the middle finger of your other hand, pull your upper eyelid upwards. Look straight ahead and put the lens right in the middle of your eye.
  5. Look up and down once before letting go of your eyelids.

Repeat this procedure on your left eye.

Taking your soft contact lenses out

  1. Wash your hands with disinfectant soap and dry them off thoroughly.
  2. Always start with the right lens so that you don’t put the wrong lens back in the wrong side of your case.
  3. Keep your eye open in the same way you do when putting your contacts in. Use the thumb and index finger of your dominant hand to remove your lens from your eye. Make sure that your nails do not touch your lens.
  4. If your lenses get stuck together, never pull them apart by the edges. Soak them for several minutes in your lens solution and then try to separate them by gently rubbing them together.
  5. Clean your lenses as instructed in the cleaning system you’ve purchased.

Repeat this procedure on your left eye.
